Instructions:- |
1. Prepare the Black Tea - Boil 1 cup of water in a saucepan - Once boiling remove from heat and steep the black tea bag or loose tea for about 3 to 5 minutes depending on your desired strength - Remove the tea bag or strain the loose tea and stir in 1 to 2 tablespoons of brown sugar or honey while the tea is still warm. Allow the tea to cool to room temperature
2. Prepare the Lychee Juice - If using fresh lychees peel and pit them then blend the flesh until smooth. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve to remove any fibrous bits. You should have about 1/2 cup of lychee juice - If using canned lychees simply blend the drained lychees until smooth and strain
3. Cook the Tapioca Pearls - Cook the brown sugar tapioca pearls according to the package instructions usually boiling in water for about 5 to 10 minutes. Once cooked drain and rinse with cold water - In a small pot combine the cooked brown sugar tapioca pearls with a tablespoon or two of brown sugar or honey to sweeten them. Let them sit for a few minutes to absorb the sweetness - Repeat the process for the peach tapioca pearls cooking them according to the package instructions
4. Assemble Your Lychee Boba Milk Tea - In a large 16 oz glass add a generous scoop of the sweetened brown sugar tapioca pearls and peach tapioca pearls at the bottom - Fill the glass halfway with ice cubes - Pour the cooled black tea over the ice filling the glass about half full - Add the pulped and strained lychee juice on top filling the glass another quarter full - Finally pour in 1/2 cup of milk to fill the glass and create a layered effect. Stir gently to combine
5. Taste and Adjust - Taste your Lychee Boba Milk Tea. If you’d like it sweeter add more brown sugar or honey to your liking and stir well
6. Serve - Insert a large straw suitable for boba and enjoy your refreshing Lychee Boba Milk Tea
### Tips - You can also experiment with using different types of tea such as green tea or jasmine tea for a unique flavor profile ✨💕😋
