Huma’s Naan Pizza Margherita (stove top recipe) ..✨💕👩🍳
1. 2 pieces of naan bread |
2. 1 cup of marinara sauce or pizza sauce |
3. 1 1/2 cups fresh mozzarella cheese (sliced or shredded) |
4. 1-2 medium tomatoes (sliced, optional) |
5. Fresh basil leaves |
6. 2 tablespoons olive oil |
7. Salt (to taste) |
8. Freshly cracked black pepper (to taste) |
9. Balsamic glaze (optional, for drizzling) |
10. 1/2 chopped onion |
Instructions:- |
1. Heat a non-stick skillet or frying pan over medium heat. |
2. Place one piece of naan in the preheated pan. |
3. Spread a generous amount of marinara sauce evenly on top of the naan, leaving a small border around the edges. |
4. Distribute the fresh mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce. |
5. If using, add the sliced tomatoes on top of the cheese along with chopped onion. |
6. Sprinkle a pinch of salt and freshly cracked black pepper over the top. |
7. Cover the pan with a lid (or aluminum foil) to help the cheese melt. |
8. Cook on medium-low heat for about 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the naan is slightly crispy on the bottom. |
9. Once the cheese is melted, remove the lid and add fresh basil leaves on top. |
10. Cook for an additional minute or two, allowing the basil to wilt slightly. |
11. Carefully remove the pizza from the pan and place it on a cutting board. |
12. Drizzle with balsamic glaze if desired. |
13. Slice and serve hot. |
14. Repeat the process with the second naan to make another pizza. Enjoy! |
