Ingredients:-
- 1 package of kunafa dough (or shredded phyllo dough). You can take regular Sivaiyyein also.
1 cup ghee, melted
- 2 cups of khoya (reduced milk solids)
- 1 cup crushed pistachios
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 tablespoon rose water
- 1 tablespoon orange blossom water or lemon juice
- few strands of saffron

Instructions:-
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).
2. Grease a baking pan with some of the melted ghee.
3. In a bowl, mix the khoya and crushed pistachios together.
4. Layer half of the kunafa dough in the bottom of the pan.
5. Spread the khoya and pistachio mixture evenly on top.
6. Add the remaining kunafa dough on top of the filling.
7. Pour the rest of the melted ghee over the kunafa.
8. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-40 minutes or until golden brown.
9. While the kunafa is baking, make the sugar syrup by boiling the sugar and water until the sugar dissolves.
10. Stir in the rose water and orange blossom water into the syrup. Add few strands of saffron.
11. Once the kunafa is done, pour the sugar syrup evenly over it.
12. Allow the kunafa to cool slightly before serving.
