Huma’s Deep Fried Wild Caught Herring Fish

Huma’s Deep Fried Wild Caught Herring Fish ✨💕👩‍🍳

Ingredients:-
- 1 whole wild-caught herring fish (about 2 lbs), cleaned and gutted
- 1 tbsp fish masala
- 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- A few fresh mint leaves
- Oil for deep frying

Instructions:-
1. In a bowl, mix fish masala, ginger garlic paste, salt, pepper, lemon juice, and torn mint leaves to create a marinade.
2. Rub the marinade generously over the cleaned herring fish, making sure to coat it evenly. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
3. Heat oil in a deep fryer or a heavy-bottomed pan for deep frying.
4. Once the oil is hot, carefully place the marinated herring fish in the oil. Fry the fish until it is golden brown and crispy on both sides, usually for about 5-7 minutes per side depending on the size of the fish.
5. Once fried, remove the fish from the oil and place it on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
6. Serve the deep-fried wild-caught herring fish hot with a side of lemon wedges and mint leaves for garnish. Enjoy your flavorful and crispy dish!
