| - 1 cup all-purpose flour |
| - 1 tablespoon cornflour |
| - 1 teaspoon saffron strands |
| - 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder |
| - 1 cup sugar |
| - 1/2 cup water |
| - 1/2 teaspoon active dry yeast |
| - Oil for frying |
| - Sliced pistachios for garnishing |
Instructions:- |
| 1. In a bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, cornflour, saffron strands, cardamom powder, and active dry yeast. Add enough water to make a smooth batter. The batter should be of pouring consistency. Let the batter rest for about 1-2 hours in a warm place until it ferments and rises. |
| 2. In a saucepan, combine sugar and water to make a sugar syrup. Boil the mixture until it reaches a one-string consistency. Add a few saffron strands for flavor. |
| 3. Heat oil in a deep frying pan. Pour the fermented batter into a squeeze bottle or piping bag with a small nozzle. |
