Huma’s Qimami Seviyan (Sweet Vermicelli) for 8 people: ✨💕👩🍳
- 250g vermicelli |
- 1/2 cup ghee |
- 8-10 green cardamoms, crushed |
- 1/2 cup sugar (adjust to taste) |
- 1/2 cup mixed dry fruits (almonds, cashews, pistachios, raisins) |
- 1/4 cup khoya (optional) |
- 1/2 tsp saffron strands |
- 4 cups water |
Instructions:- |
1. Heat ghee in a pan and add crushed cardamoms. Saute for a minute until fragrant. |
2. Add vermicelli and roast until golden brown. |
3. In another pan, heat water and saffron strands. Let it simmer for a few minutes. |
4. Pour the saffron-infused water over the roasted vermicelli. Cook until the vermicelli is tender. |
5. Add sugar, khoya (if using), and mixed dry fruits. Mix well and cook for a few more minutes. |
6. Once the sugar is dissolved and the mixture thickens slightly, turn off the heat. |
7. Serve the Qimami Seviyan warm, garnished with more dry fruits if desired. |
