Huma's Karhai fish

Innovated Karhai fish tonight! ✨💕😋😋 Boneless tilapia (marinated in Fish fry masala & air fried) and sautéed in lots of fresh fried onions, chopped garlic, tomatoes, bell pepper, potato and karhai Chicken masala. The twist has turned out better than imagined MashaAllah✨ Cooking is therapeutic …Glad it’s something that makes me super happy and never a burden. Made it for tomorrow but the aroma got the family closer today… 😇

Ingredients:-
- 500g boneless fish fillets (like tilapia or cod), cut into chunks
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 2 green chilies, slit
- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
- potatoes - 2 cubes

Instructions:-
1. Heat oil in a kadhai or a deep skillet over medium heat.
2. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
3. Add chopped onions and sauté until they turn translucent.
4. Add ginger-garlic paste and green chilies. Sauté for a minute until the raw smell disappears.
5. Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they are soft and mushy.
6. Stir in coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well.
7. Add the sliced bell peppers and cook for a few minutes until they start to soften. Add cubed potatoes and cook until slight soft
8. Gently add the fish pieces to the kadhai, making sure they are coated with the masala.
9. Cover the kadhai and let the fish cook for about 5-7 minutes or until it is cooked through.
10. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
11. Serve hot with steamed rice or naan.
