Huma’s Baked Pumpkin Steaks with Ricotta cheese, basil, walnuts and dry fruits ✨💕👩🍳 Recipe on the main page 💕
- 1 medium-sized pumpkin |
- 1 cup ricotta cheese |
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh basil |
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts |
- 1/2 cup mixed dry fruits (apricots, cranberries, figs, etc.) |
- 1/4 cup raisins |
- Salt and pepper to taste |
- Olive oil |
- 6 slices of hearty bread |
Instructions:- |
1. Preheat the oven to 400 °F (200°C). |
2. Cut the pumpkin into 1-inch thick slices, removing the seeds and stringy bits. Place the pumpkin "steaks" on a baking sheet. |
3. Drizzle the pumpkin slices with olive oil and season with salt and pepper on both sides. |
4. Spread a generous layer of ricotta cheese on top of each pumpkin steak. |
5. Sprinkle the chopped basil, walnuts, raisins, and mixed dry fruits over the ricotta on each pumpkin steak. |
6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the pumpkin is tender and slightly caramelized. |
7. While the pumpkin is baking, toast the bread slices until golden brown and crispy. |
8. Once the pumpkin is ready, remove it from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. |
9. Serve the pumpkin steaks with the toasted bread on the side. |
