| - 1 medium-sized pumpkin |
| - 1 cup ricotta cheese |
| - 1/2 cup chopped fresh basil |
| - 1/2 cup chopped walnuts |
| - 1/2 cup mixed dry fruits (apricots, cranberries, figs, etc.) |
| - 1/4 cup raisins |
| - Salt and pepper to taste |
| - Olive oil |
| - 6 slices of hearty bread |
Instructions:- |
| 1. Preheat the oven to 400 °F (200°C). |
| 2. Cut the pumpkin into 1-inch thick slices, removing the seeds and stringy bits. Place the pumpkin "steaks" on a baking sheet. |
| 3. Drizzle the pumpkin slices with olive oil and season with salt and pepper on both sides. |
| 4. Spread a generous layer of ricotta cheese on top of each pumpkin steak. |
| 5. Sprinkle the chopped basil, walnuts, raisins, and mixed dry fruits over the ricotta on each pumpkin steak. |
| 6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the pumpkin is tender and slightly caramelized. |
| 7. While the pumpkin is baking, toast the bread slices until golden brown and crispy. |
| 8. Once the pumpkin is ready, remove it from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. |
| 9. Serve the pumpkin steaks with the toasted bread on the side. |
